River Oaks is absolutely gorgeous with it’s mansions, greenery surrounding the bayou, and that is of course why this personal branding portrait session was held here. Houston certainly isn’t suffering from a lack of hot spots that are great for portraits, and finding one that is both serene and picturesque tends to be the least of ones problems. Locations that are nestled along the length of the bayou though? There’s not that many, which makes this private access area perfect for a client who’s branding screams uniqueness.
The home we shot at was no different than what you would expect. Absolutely magnificent!
Meet Mi’chel, a very talented stage performer who’s constantly on the road to completely stun her audiences with an unforgettable show. Prior to her personal branding she was pretty notorious for her fun personality and big voice, but didn’t have that in photography form.
I’ve been to one of her shows in New Orleans (you can view a snippet on my IG) and she lit the entire place up!! I could barely record from all the dancing and singing. Not sure what else I’d expected when she’d already lived up to her NOLA notoriety when she’d blown her shoot out of the water a few months beforehand.
This was a two outfit session, one more casual with the other being a sexy red dress, and the goal was to update her press kit with media that represented her personality better. Her vision was glamour with a large dose of sass and we both felt that was served! She was amazing!
