Recap: Amazing Moments of Late October
A Recap to Catch Up:
Blessings have been pouring down left and right, so quickly that I didn’t have the time to write about them here on the blog. I’m working on going into detail for some of these accomplishments, but for now, I’ll just recap.
Right away I’m going to say that I’m beyond ecstatic and am now considering doing A LOT of things I’d only given a few thoughts sometime ago.
Radio Interview w/ All Business Media:
I was contacted by a rep who found my business page and was interested in hearing more about Chic Jae Portrait Photography and my perspective on the photography industry. By no means am I the perfect representative for the entire photography community, but I feel I do make a point to point out the beauty of the art, so it worked. The interview itself was about ten minutes long but it was an awesome experience.

Portrait Featured On the Snap Society:
Wanna know what’s crazy? I started posting some portraits I took for a Houston MUA as a way to be transparent. Every single one of those posts were to show people that you shouldn’t be ashamed of where you came from and to be proud of your growth. They are flawed and they aren’t my greatest work, but I still liked them and thought it would be cool to show that. The other night I received a notification on my IG from a very reputable photography site letting me know that they came across my post and chose it as a daily fav.

I’m pretty excited about the fact that so many talented people will be able to view my work.
New Opportunities:
A fellow Houston business owner reached out to me about having some photographs taken for her brand. That request turned into the concept of a styled shoot for her to present at the Wedding Extravaganza this coming January, and another for branding. The crazy thing is that I’ve been thinking about putting one together as a creative project but never went past just a thought. Now that this is on the table, I of course will be putting some action behind my desires. It’s amazing how things come along and push you forward, isn’t it?
